I am a performer, podcaster and facilitator.
I am a theatre-maker, performer and podcaster. I love dressing up as my grandad, writing gay poetry, and playing table-top role-playing games. My work is playful, with collaboration, devising and game-based creativity at its core. It usually asks the audience to get up and join in.
My actual play D&D podcast, Deck of Many Aces, has a cult following and is in the top 5% of all podcasts globally. Commissions include håb, Cultivate! artist residency, and Arts Council England.
I am a devising-based theatre-maker; what this means is that my work gets created in the rehearsal room through playing games, improvising and exploratory work.
My work to date has largely been participatory, interactive or partially improvised. I am in constant conversation with the audience, exploring ways of creating community within the time and space of a theatre performance.
Core themes include the rich Welsh mythology of my childhood, queerness, family, mental health and grief. My work, although oftentimes explores difficult themes, is light and ultimately hopeful.

Facilitation
I work with and for communities who otherwise might not have access to great art. I am a trained workshop facilitator using drama and games to bring out the artist in everyone and to encourage community. I also make art works with community groups, including a large scale art installation with the visitors to the National Football Museum and a fantasy audio drama with an LGBT youth group. I've begun on the Trainers Journey with the ICA, an internationally recognised institute using Technology of Participation methods to foster communication and consensus in groups.
